June 19th Ros Welchman: Ceramics (Part 1)- This two-session workshop will take place over two alternate Saturdays. Participants will first create their clay pieces during the initial three-hour class. In order to allow for drying time, a second class will be scheduled in 2 weeks, when the pieces will be fired and glazed.

June 26th Gerda van Leeuwen: Monoprinting on Wheels - Create plein air monoprints spontaneously while literally taking the printmaking on-the-road. participants will be making their monoprints right on location.

July 10 Sharon Suess: Watercolor for people who don’t paint - If you ever wanted to try your hand at watercolor, here is your chance. All supplies will be available to you in this beginner’s watercolor class, where you paint, scrape, blow and splash with freedom and fun.

July 11th Janice deMarino: Papermaking to create small One-of -a-kind Books - Approach the art of collage through the papermaking process and develop small collage books. Participants will work with wet pulp to caste a small collection of sheets into which the can incorporate a variety of collage materials. as they are made, the individual paper sheets are fused on one side to form the spine of a book.

July 31th Ellen Wong: Integrating Drawing and Watercolor (part 1) - This workshop will be held in two sessions. The first session consist of working up drawings. During the second session threehour workshop, participants will utilize watercolor to further describe their drawings. Decorative paers may also be used by those participating to culminate in a simple, basic look.

Aug. 14th Laini Manzo: Monotype: The Painterly Print - This workshop focuses on exploring three varieties of monotypes, (one of a-kind, hand-pulled prints) giving participants the tools needed to insure the spontaneity and experimentation that always characterizes this unique process.

Aug. 21th John Hopkins: Using Color and Value in Painting - This workshop focuses on the use of colr in creating a painting, including working with the color wheel, hue, value and intensity, as well as creating a practical project working with value.

Sept. 25th Susan Whittenberg: Found objects and Collage - In this workshop each participant will bring a found object, such as a tray or box, or any object which has a surface that can be used as a canvas. All participants should also bring photographs, “tear-outs” from magazines, textured and colorful surfaces and small personal momentos.
